Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
A research-supported approach to helping partners feel secure with each other again.
What it is
EFT is grounded in attachment science, the study of how people bond and seek closeness. It looks beneath the surface of conflict at the needs and fears driving it.
Couples learn to recognize the negative cycle that pulls them apart, slow it down, and reach for each other in new ways. Karen is advanced trained in EFT and a member of ICEEFT, the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Is EFT only for couples?
EFT is best known for couples, and its principles also shape work with individuals and families.
How is EFT different from communication coaching?
EFT focuses on the emotions and attachment needs underneath communication, not only on techniques for talking.
